The exhibit represents 10 themes which encompass Clarkstown’s rich history consisting of photographs, artifacts, and documents that have been generously donated or loaned to the town.

Also on display is artwork and essays from Clarkstown students, who were were asked to submit artwork either using the plein-air style of drawing, a historic site in Clarkstown, or what the Witch of West Nyack might have looked like.

The essays will describe “A Day in the Life of a Child in 1791 in Clarkstown”. The art and essay contest winners will be awarded at the opening ceremony.

The exhibit is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until December 2016.

All are welcome to come view the exhibit.

For Clarkstown history month, the town is also sponsoring a lecture series throughout the month of October. Information on the lecture series can be found on the website www.clarkstownhistory.org.
